As a child, before he knew anything about tap dance, Carlos Doñán was making music with his feet. Tap motivated Carlos to step into the international scene leaving his native El Salvador to dance in Latin America and Spain. He is now inspiring others with an unique fusion of tap dance, eclectic sounds and innovative movements. Doñan's Folktap Danza Company is accompanied by the accords of the bandoneon, acoustics and percussion... a team of expert musicians and professional dancers deliver contemporary sounds, rhythms and beyond.
On Friday, July 16, 2010, Doñán's outstanding talent and energy that knows no boundaries will bring to fruition his childhood dreams, the first full production of Folktap ENCOUNTER. We are extremely proud and excited that a production that will change the way we think of tap... has begun its journey.
